Cheezeballs Swiss Ceramic Bearings (16)
Cheezeballs Swiss Ceramic Bearings (16) 7mm
Cheezeball Swiss Ceramic Bearings are the culmination of almost 2 years of real world roller derby testing.
Cheezeballs started out with silicon nitride ceramic balls, one of the hardest ceramic compounds in the world.
This is the same material that is used in aerospace applications and is capable of 35,000 rpm at over 500 degrees.
Then we paired them with no rust, self healing deep groove 440 stainless steel races and completely noncorrosive nylon cages and built them to ABEC 7 tolerances.
440 Stainless steel is slightly softer than chrome steel races, which allows the insanely hard Silicon nitride ceramic balls to “dress out” small scratches and imperfections in the bearing race.
With occasional cleaning and lube these bearings will last a long time.
Sold as a set of 16.
Features:
- Silicon nitride ceramic balls
- Nylon retainers
- 440 stainless steel races
These bearings are suitable for most current roller skates, blades and inlines.
Size: 7mm
Fit: Most current roller skates and roller derby skates have 8mm axles, some older styles or Roll-Line plates come with 7mm. Most inline skates use 8mm bearings. A simple rule of thumb is: 7mm are rare, 8mm is the most common. If you're unsure, contact us or put a note on your order to ask us to check.
