RB Cruiser 80 Skate Review

The RB Cruiser or RB80 is appealing skate that works for both beginners and advanced skaters. (Just see Danny Aldridge)

What sets it apart from other skates in this price range is the quality of the overall package.

Fit - Wide and comfortable. If you have wide feet, this is the skate for you.
Shell - Hard plastic with good support.
Liner - Soft and comfortable, no pressure points.
Mount - 165mm mount with embedded metal mounting plate, which makes for a responsive skate.
Frame - Extruded aluminium frame that feels stiff and responsive.
Bearings - The SG7 Really good mid spec bearing, you can move quick on these
Wheels - The weakest part of the skate. They wear quickly, but that's expected at this price point.

Overall, this is an excellent skate and is replacing my UFR AP Intuition as my main urban boot.

Modifying the RB80 requires a bit of customisation as you'll need to drill through the cuff and buckle rivets and replace with either Philips or Allen key head alternatives but this enables you customize the colour which I'll be doing. I swapped the liner for a white intuition liner which makes the skate even more responsive. With a UFS frame adaptor you'll be able to use wizard style frames with this boot as well.
